About The Show 10th - 12th August 2007
jazz_bullet

In our first year we set out to launch a show that creates the essence of “real jazz”. The aim is to support this traditional and striking style of music that makes jazz unique in all its various guises, from individual jazz musicians to big band sound.

To coin a much used phrase that we all use and understand, “….and all that Jazz” explains something about the ‘sound’ that is uniquely recognisable. We know we are listening to jazz when we hear it but to define what it is that makes jazz jazz is almost impossible. Though as soon as the first few notes reach our senses we just know we are listening to pure jazz and it has the ability to remain true whether loud, quiet, blue, happy, fast or slow.

In our second year – we still stand by the same principals as in the first year BUT have added in a new and exciting element to the show … on Sunday 12 August we have created a rather crazy day!
